The Advanced Life Support 1 course is Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) approved. This accredited course is well recognized both in Australia and overseas as a competency pathway for ALS skills. Assessment is continuous throughout the day. CPD points can be acquired through the following colleges for this course: ACEM / ACRRM / ANZCA / CICM / RACGP / RACP.
The program is open to health care professionals who are required to complete ALS training such as GP’s, junior medical staff and after-hour’s coordinators. Skills are taught to manage the first 5 minutes of a cardiac arrest situation.This course does not cover external pacing or emergency cardioversion. Staff working in critical care areas such as ED or ICU will benefit from completing the ARC ALS 2 course.
The program is limited to 18 participants.
