Western Health recognises the importance of promoting healthcare as a rewarding and dynamic career choice. Our Year 10 Work Experience Program offers students the opportunity to gain meaningful insight into the healthcare industry through an administrative-based placement.
Coordinated by the People and Culture team, this program enables students to spend five working days across various departments and wards at many Western Health sites.
We are committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where students can experience the values of person-centred care and teamwork that underpin everything we do at Western Health.
Applications for the 2025 Work Experience Program have now closed.
Applications for the 2026 Work Experience Program will be open in November 2025.
As part of the application process, students will be asked to:
Confirm Year 10 enrolment for 2026
Nominate their preferred Western Health location
Provide available placement dates
Answer questions about their interest in healthcare
Disclose any family member employed at Western Health
Indicate if they identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
We thank all applicants for their interest and wish them the very best in their future careers.
