Children's Specialist Outpatient Clinics and Adolescent Health Service provide care for children and young people aged between 0-18 years.
We see young adults (between 15 and 25 years old) in our Young Adults Diabetes Service (YADS).

Please note referrals that do not contain the minimum investigations outlined above will be returned with a request for more information. Referrers have 30 days to respond to a request for more information otherwise the referral will not be accepted.
Allergic conditions such as anaphylaxis where skin prick testing and specialist paediatric allergist involvement is required
Sleep studies
Mental Health Services
Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Dietetic and neuropsychology are not provided as part of the Children’s Outpatient Service at Western health except in some instances as part of a multidisciplinary approach, such as in the follow-up of premature neonates. Some of these services may be provided by the Children’s Allied Health Service (CAHS). Please enquire on 8345 1430.
Where an acute intervention is required please refer the patient to the Emergency Department.
MBS patients are bulk billed. Referrals need to be to the named Head of Unit.
