The Gold Leaf Restaurant, Sunshine
On Friday May 2 the BreastWest Committee and the Foundation hosted the 9th annual BreastWest Yum Cha Lunch at the Gold Leaf Restaurant in Sunshine. BreastWest, Western Health and the Foundation’s Community Partners, along with Western Health Breast Care patients and Western Health staff, enjoyed a very tasty Yum Cha lunch for a great cause.
Attendees were treated to the MC stylings of Sally Cockburn, aka ‘Dr Feelgood’, who has very generously given us her time and expertise for the past six years, as well as presentations from a brave Breast Care patient Kerry O’Donovan, Head of the Breast Care Unit Dr Meron Pitcher, and Breast Cancer Nurse, Melanie Fisher. All the money raised from the day will help to fund the purchase of a new ultrasound machine for the Breast Care Unit.
