Western Health thank you for your interest in volunteering during the COVID19 response. Unfortunately the Community Engagement and Volunteer program has been suspended and there are no volunteers across the sites. We look to hearing from you once this pandemic has passed.
Western Health's Volunteer Program focuses on engaging with our local community by offering relevant and worthwhile volunteering opportunities.
The program operates across four sites and is one of the largest health service volunteer programs in Victoria.
Our volunteers work alongside health care professional staff to enable best possible outcomes for patients and their families.
Community members are encouraged to share their time, skills and
life-experiences through a range of diverse and innovative volunteering roles.
The program has been established in accordance with relevant National Standards and Principles. All volunteers are required to consent to Police and referee checks, and Working with Children Check is required. All volunteer applicants are required to provide proof of Immunisation.
Prospective volunteers are required to make a commitment of at least 12 months to their role within Western Health. A typical volunteer role entails one shift per week, or fortnight, of approximately 3 hours duration. We are unable to support short-term or episodic volunteering roles.
Our community engagement opportunities support Western Health in fundraising, events, school and corporate partnerships.
