Effective 1st October there will be changes to access routes in and around the hospital and emergency department.
Building works are underway for our emergency department expansion department at Sunshine Hospital to meet the growing demand for services in our community.
The new emergency department is expected to be completed in June 2021, providing extra treatment spaces, a separate children’s section, medical imaging services, mental, alcohol and other drug crisis hub and an expanded administration area.
Commencing 7am Tuesday 1st October 2019, the public emergency department entrance and short term parking will be accessed off Majorca street and the existing entrance will be closed. Emergency services will access the emergency department off Furlong road.
