Victoria in the midst of a baby boom after months in COVID-19 lockdown
Meet baby Soren, one of the 6659 babies born at Western Health's Joan Kirner Women's and Children's Hospital in the past 12 months.

The extended COVID-19 lockdowns resulted in a baby boom in Victoria.

To help health services, Health Minister Martin Foley MP, announced a new $13.2 million maternity support package.

A huge thanks to Soren's mother Hannah Martin, who generously shared her story with media.

This beautiful photograph of mum and bub was taken by David Crosling for NCA Newswire.
