The Evolving Role of Primary Care in Cancer

Western Health will host the Evolving Role of Primary Care in Cancer conference in collaboration with the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre and PC4.

This scientific meeting will be an Australian first, highlighting the latest initiatives and research on the role of primary care across the cancer continuum. The meeting will also provide practical education for GPs and other primary care practitioners. Delegates will be given the opportunity to attend research presentations and practical workshops addressing a range of issues along the continuum of care, including:

  • Prevention and screening

  • Early diagnosis

  • Survivorship

  • Palliative Care

Our international speaker, Dr. Fiona Walter, Department of Public Health and Primary Care, University of Cambridge, will make the keynote address in the first plenary session and contribute to the workshop program.
