Accessing Sunshine Hospital services during construction of the Joan Kirner Women's and Children's Hospital

There are some exciting developments underway at Sunshine Hospital - years of planning are now becoming viisble with the construction site of the Joan Kirner Women's and Children's Hospital currently being set up.

Due to the construction of the new eight story building, there will be some changes to entrances of Sunshine Hospital services over the coming months.

Currently patients and visitors may still walk to the Radiation Therapy Centre and the Home Therapies and Dialysis Unit via the outdoor pathways. These pathways will change fromwhen the construction site will become fully fenced off in late 2016.

Changes to the hospital public car park are also necessary due to the construction site. Patients driving to the Peter Mac Radiation Therapy Centre will need to follow the signs to the patient pick up and drop off zone or park in the car park and follow the signs around the construction site.

Access to the Community Based Rehabiliation entrance will remain the same.

Patients wishing to access the Diabetes and Endocrinology units should enter via Community Based Rehabilitation.

If you need assistance to find your way when you are at the hospital please ask our volunteer Visitor Guides in the light blue vests at the hospital reception.

We apologise for any disruption caused and appreciate your patience whilst work is completed.
