These are some of the questions we ask at Western Health as part of our INSPIRE Awards, which acknowledge the special people who go above and beyond in their daily work.
Chief Executive Russell Harrison, with the help of fellow executives, recently recognised a group of standout employees and volunteers, individuals and teams, whose actions inspire others to live Western Health's values.
The ceremony was held at Sunshine Hospital's Western Centre for Health Research & Education.
From delighting colleagues with humour, to dealing with challenging and emotional situations with compassion and professionalism, and coming up with innovative ways of providing best care, the stories of our award winners are heartwarming and encouraging.
"It was wonderful to hear the remarkable stories behind the winning nominations for our INSPIRE Awards," Mr Harrison said.
"I am honoured to lead an organisation where such compassion, kindness, respect and selflessness is evident in so many of our staff, as exemplified by the winners."
