Today is a very exciting day for us all and for our patients and the communities we serve.
Premier Daniel Andrews and Health Minister, The Hon Jill Hennessy, came to Footscray Hospital today to announce that a re-elected Labor Government will provide $1.5 billion for the construction of a new Footscray Hospital on the Ballarat Road site, opposite Victoria University, with construction commencing in 2020 for completion in 2025.
This is an incredibly important announcement for the future of healthcare in the west of Melbourne.
