Changes to Western Health Visitor Policy

Western Health has implemented further changes to our visitor policy.

As we work hard to protect the health of patients and staff during the coronavirus outbreak, we ask for the continued cooperation and support of our communities.

The following restrictions now apply to all Western Health sites:

  • ONE (1) visitor per patient per day

  • All visitors will be screened upon entry, including temperature checks

  • Visitors feeling unwell will not be permitted

  • Please do not visit if you have had contact with a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 in the past 14 days

  • Please do not visit if you returned from overseas in the past 14 days

  • No visitors aged under 16 (other than in exceptional circumstances)

  • Maternity visitors are not restricted to two hours.

We understand these restrictions will be difficult for families and loved ones, however this measure will help us prevent COVID-19 spreading through our hospitals and keep our patients and staff safe.

Exceptions to these rules will be made only in exceptional circumstances.
