We welcome you at Western Health to complete your undergraduate midwifery clinical placements.
As a provider of midwifery placements to undergraduates, Western Health aims to provide students with a positive learning environment in a variety of maternity settings.
The below document outlines the orientation process for midwifery undergraduates.
This is really useful information in preparing you for placement so that you have a positive and productive learning experience here at Western Health.
For midwifery placements you will be able to access your roster via Roster On. Please note that all indirect shift swaps require university approval before they can be changed on Roster On.

Continuity of Care Experience (CoCE)

This guide is applicable to any midwifery student (undergraduate and post graduates not employed by Western Health) entering the grounds of Western Health to attend a Continunity of Care Experience.
If you don't comply wiht the guidelines outlined in the manual, you might not be able to attend any Continunity of Care Experience at Western Health.
This guide and the information in it are applicable to both sites of Joan Kirner and Bacchus Marsh.
After reading the guide:
Complete the outlined mandatory training.
Email evidence of completion screenshots to [email protected] and complete this CoCE form.
The team will mail you out a CoCE card.
