The Radiology Department is accredited by the RANZCR for 15 Registrars position.
Western Health Radiology equipment is all digital, with fully integrated PACS with Tele-radiology capabilities. The Health Service operates 3.0 T and 1.5 T MRI, 2 digital mammography units, state of the art image intensifiers and four (4) 64 slice CTs between the 3 Campuses in Western, Sunshine and Williamstown.
The following positions are available for 2016 ( 1st February 2016 - 5th February 2017):
1st Year Radiology Registrars x 2 positions
2nd Year + Radiology Registrar x 13 positions
1st Year Radiology Registrar positions are available to all suitable applicants who hold a MBBS or equivalent, will hold a current General Medical Registration with APHRA at the time of application and who have a minimum of two (2) year post graduate medical experience at the time of commencement of radiology training. Senior residents and registrar with a broad clinical experience are preferable.

There is no requirement for seperate assessment to be provided to this Health Service as these assessments are made available to us following the application closing date.
Radiology registrars who are already in an accredited training position (in Victoria or Interstate) may not participate in the match. The match is solely for applicants entering the training program.

2nd Year+ Radiology Registrar positions are suitable for applicants who are gegistered in the RANZCR training program and who have completed at least one (1) year of Radiology training. These positions are on a yearly renewable contract for a total of 5 years of RANZCR accredited training. For Registrars in the third year of training, there is also the mandatory private rotation to Albury in affiliation with Regional Imagign-Border. Regional Imaging-Border is a private practice group affiliated with Western Health Radiology. They are major providers of medical imaging services to the Albury Wondoga, North East Victoria and Southern nSW region, with five clinics in Albury/Wodonga, Wangaratta and Yarrawonga.
