Designed by Barbara Bamford Architects and delivered by construction partner plan Group, the new internal spaces includes a vastly-expanded visitor and patient lounge area, creating a light-filled space overlooking landscaped courtywards completed with a covered walkway for easy access to the nearby hospital cafe.
Works commenced in July 2019, and despite the challenges of the heritage infrastructure and working in and around a fully-functional hospital, the project was completed in mid-July 2020; on time and on budget.
