New Research Project Review Procedures for Quality Assurance and Low Risk Projects!!!
Western Health now has its own Low Risk Human Research Ethics Review Panel.
As per the National Health and Medical Research Council's National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research (2007), institutions may choose to establish their own processes for ethical review and approval for low risk research.

Clinical Trial Agreements Document Format
From 1 July 2007, Western Health has adopted the Medicines Australia standard format for clinical trials agreements as its preferred format.  This was developed as a result of a 2-year consultation with industry, researchers, hospitals, other research institutions and VMIA [insurer for all Victorian public hospitals].  It is also sanctioned by the pharmaceutical industry.
