Support and Development

The Occupational Therapy department places a strong emphasis on supervision and professional development, with a comprehensive supervision process in place for all staff.

A number of different committees exist to ensure the successful functioning of the Occupational Therapy department. These include:

Clinical Quality and Outcomes

Oversees our quality projects such as outcome measures, research and documentation standards

Promotions and Events

Which looks at the marketing of the OT department both internally and externally to the health service

Education and Training

Which focuses on the professional development and accountability of the OT staff members


Grade One staff, and particularly new graduates, are expected to attend the New Graduate Forums, which are co-ordinated by the Allied Health Professional Development Committee and run throughout the year.
