Western Health is planning to create Melbourne's biggest tertiary teaching hospital and medical centre based on the existing Sunshine Hospital site.

Our vision is for a new deal for health care in the Western suburbs creating better access for patients to high quality, comprehensive health and medical care that is equal to anywhere else in Melbourne. This exciting opportunity will enable Western Health to meet the current and growing health needs of residents in the rapidly changing population of the West.

The first phase of construction is set to commence. Two public information sessions were held for local residents in the vicinity of the hospital and the general community of the West to find out more.

A permanent display has been erected in the Sunshine Hospital foyer to bring you regular updates on construction progress and redevelopment plans.
