Western Health is currently seeking applications from experienced and currently Registered Midwives to participate in our 7 week Refresher Program with the opportunity to rotate through the maternity unit and the pregnancy continuum of care with support and guidance.
Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years' post registration experience in a maternity setting, as well as current registration with AHPRA and at least one year working in a maternity setting within Australia or New Zealand.
The Refresher Program is a 7 week fixed term program, (at 32 hours per week). The program will run from 3rd September to 21st October 2018. Participants must commit to attending the 7 week program with an opportunity to be employed in a ward, unit or on our casual bank.

The Western Health Refresher Program is a 6 week fixed term program, consisting of study days; work sheets, competencies, clinical practice and self-directed learning. The program commences on Monday 4th June, 2018.
It will run from Monday-Thursday, 08:00– 16:30 for two weeks and Monday-Friday the next four weeks are in the ward/unit, at 32 hours per week, AM shifts 07:00 – 15:30 or PM 13:00 – 21:30
You will be allocated to one ward/unit for the duration of the program, utilising the preceptorship model for clinical supervision. You will be allocated a preceptor from the same ward/unit who will act as a preceptor. Clinical Nurse Educators and the Refresher Program Coordinator will support you and your preceptor throughout the entire program. You preceptors will work closely with you to assist in meeting your clinical objectives and will directly and indirectly supervise clinical shifts.
Two weeks induction program, including four classroom based study days and four clinical based days working in a supernumerary capacity on a ward.(unpaid)
